Goatlings!!!!!!!!

What is goatlings?

Goatlings is a petsite focusing on goats! You're able to customise most things about your goats and account using HTML. I personally feel like Goatlings has a very strong focus on community, as shady as that might sound haha, most people are quite pleasant. I haven't had a single poor interaction yet! (although that might just be because I don't really talk to anyone...).

Why Goatlings?

To be honest, I'm not a big fan of petsites in general, I like them in concept, but not in execution. I find most petsites to be quite overwhelming with how many different pets you can get and the way a lot of of them have large focuses on pet genetics.

From an aesthetic point of view, I'm really fond of the cutesy vibe the whole website has, the layout and goat designs are really colourful without it being unsettling in the ways other petsites are to me. The layout itself is really nice too, everythings clearly labled and everything is grouped nicely.

The overall vibe that I get is really chill, there's not much of a FOMO thing on Goatlings for me. I can always just buy items from events that I missed and most event items are seasonal instead of only showing up for a month then dissapearing. Of course, there are items that are limited-time only, but I can always just buy them off of other players, with some exeptions of course.

If I had to descrive the whole website with a single word, it would be 'warm' (Though I call anything I vaguely like warm because I a currently freezing to death :/).

What got me started?

To be honest, I don't actually remember! I know I used to have a chicken smoothie account so I might have looked for other petsites like it and stumbled accross goatlings. I play goatlings very inconsistantly, I usually only play like once or twice a year, staying for 1-3 months then dissapearing. I don't think I played it at all during 2017-2018 or 2019 and I'm only really active during october, which is when there's a site-wide event called 'Monster Masquerade', go team Graveyard Groom btw!
